A million people came to Cologne to watch the Parade on 8th February 2016 - and had a lot of fun.
Women's Carnival Day, Thursday, February 4th 2016
This was the day when you got to experience the Carnival in its traditional form. At 11.11 a.m. the street Carnival was officially opened at the Alter Markt by the three principal Carnival figures: the Prince, the Peasant and the Virgin (collectively known as the "Dreigestirn").
Saturday, February 6th 2016
On saturday, the city was overflowing with "Jecken" or Carnival figures by the afternoon. In the evening, scary people had fun at the "Geisterzug" (Ghost parade).
