Cologne Cathedral

It can be seen from nearly every point in the city centre and from many places elsewhere: The magnificent Cologne Cathedral hovers above the roofs and chimneys of the city. It is not only used as a point of orientation but is the pride of the people in Cologne.

Breweries

Drink the Kölsch in an orign "Brauhaus" (the traditional German pub and the beer is brewed). There, the "Köbes" serves the fantastic ale and he serves one after another if you don't say "no" and put the beer pad on your glass.

Love padlocks

Tourists and also Cologne people affixed the love padlocks on the Hohenzollern Bridge to symbolize their love. Since 2008 more than 40.000 of them had done this.

Cathedral Christmas market

In front of the impressive backdrop of Cologne's landmark, the Cathedral christmas market awaits visitors with its 160 attractively designed wooden pavilions. Open from 26th November until 23rd December 2012.
