Take a trip through 2000 years of history and visit cultural monuments from the Roman Empire to modern times.
Traditionally a visit to Cologne must include a boat trip on the Rhine. Boat trips along the Rhine take in the view of Cologne's Old Town and travel south to Rodenkirchen or Porz or north to Mülheim.
The companies offering boat trips are KölnDüsseldorfer, KölnTourist and Colonia. Tickets for the panorama boat trips offered by all three companies can be purchased for the same price from the Cologne Tourist Board, and visitors can choose between any of the operators and routes. The landing stages are on the left bank of the Rhine, on or close to the Hohenzollern bridge.
During trade fairs it is possible to take a ferry across the river from the same landing stage. The widest range of boat trips is offered by the operator KD and its "White Fleet". You can enjoy an evening tour with music or a longer boat trip to the Drachenfels, the Loreley or Rüdesheim.
